Case Study · Amazon Seller Central
Amazon & Multichannel E-commerce Management for a US Sports Retailer
This Amazon Seller Central case study covers day-to-day management for a high-volume US sports retailer with nearly 20,000 listings: product listings, FBA and FBM orders, Seller Support cases, buyer messaging and product research, while keeping account health in good standing.
Client name, buyer details, order IDs and other private information have been removed to protect confidentiality.
The Challenge
The store sells a large catalog of baseball and sports products on Amazon, using both Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) and seller-fulfilled (FBM) shipping. With thousands of listings, hundreds of weekly orders and a steady stream of inbound shipments, the owner needed reliable daily Amazon Seller Central management to:
- Keep listings accurate and fix suppressed or inactive products
- Process FBM orders and shipments on time
- Resolve FBA inbound discrepancies with Seller Support
- Answer buyer messages quickly to protect account health
- Research products and check profitability before buying stock
What I Did
- Listing management: created and updated listings, managed variations and worked through Amazon’s fix-and-enhance recommendations.
- Order operations: monitored FBA orders and processed seller-fulfilled shipments before ship-by dates.
- Seller Support cases: opened and followed up “missing items from inbound” cases for FBA shipments.
- Buyer messaging: kept the response queue at zero with timely, professional replies.
- Product research: used SellerAmp SAS to analyse price history, BSR, fees, profit and ROI before sourcing.

Beyond Amazon
Multichannel Operations: Amazon, eBay, Whatnot & More
Amazon was the biggest channel, but not the only one. As e-commerce manager I also ran the store’s eBay listings, prepared Whatnot live shows, shipped orders through ShippingEasy and kept the team’s daily workflows in ClickUp. Stock had to stay in sync across every channel.

Lessons From Managing a Large Amazon Catalog
Effective Amazon Seller Central management at this scale depends on routine. A few practices made the biggest difference:
- Daily checks first: orders, buyer messages and account health every morning before any project work.
- Fix listings in batches: grouping suppressed or inactive listings by issue type saves hours.
- Document every case: a simple log of Seller Support cases makes follow-ups and reimbursements easier.
- Research before buying: checking price history, fees and ROI prevents slow-moving stock.
For official guidance, Amazon’s seller resources explain account health and fulfilment options, and SellerAmp offers the product research tool used in this project.
